Cave Painting in Year 3!

Last week in Year 3 we created some cave paintings like people in the Stone Age would have done.

We started by researching cave paintings on the internet.

We then went outside in search for sticks, twigs and leaves to use, because they didn’t have paint brushes in those days!

Here is year 3 looking for twigs....

When we got back into class we used the sticks, twigs and leaves to paint on to pieces of card.

We managed to create some super pictures of animals, fires and people. We only used the White, Black, Brown, Red and Yellow because these were the only colours that Stone Age people would have been able to find naturally. We were lucky because we had paint!
